Home:
For anyone who
doesn't know, my name is Myles William Richard Wilcott. I come from a small
town called Pine Falls, Manitoba.
Pine Falls is at the southeastern tip of Lake Winnipeg where the Winnipeg
River meets the Lake. Our main industry is the Pine
Falls Paper Company where newsprint is produced. I have lived in Pine
Falls ever since I was born on January 18, 1982. I attended Pine Falls
Elementary School in my younger years and graduated from Ecole Powerview
School.
Family:
I have a rather
large family. In 1984, my parents where divorced. Over the years my mother
remarried as well as my father. Not only did I gain a Step Father and a
Step Mother, I now have 5 more brothers. They are currently 12, 11, 11,
10 and 6, so I keep myself busy looking out for them. I also have a wonderful
20 year old sister. In case you are wondering, I am not Scottish. I have
Welsh, English, Aboriginal and French blood.
Education:
I
graduated for Ecole Powerview School on June 24, 2000 with honours. I am
currently attending the University of Manitoba in my first year. I am working
towards a degree in Management, however I am considering entering Law after
I have completed the prerequisites.
Me with Kale, Justin, Dylan, Teresa,
Kurt and Mylen
Hobbies:
Besides piping,
I enjoy spending time volunteering in the community where I work as president
of a committee that coordinates our local festival. I am also quite
interested in creating websites and photography.
Why Piping:
Over the years
I have been involved with many different things, never seeming to come
across something that I really enjoyed and was really good at. I have taken
piano, painting classes, clay classes and played many sports, etc. Only
when I started piping did I realize that piping would be my lifelong companion.
I enjoy piping more than anything. Whether it is for fun or during strong
competition, I never have enjoyed anything as much as I do piping.
