"I was a member of the Lord Selkirk Boy Scout Pipe Band from 1996 to 2000 and I held the position of acting pipe major for almost two years. A major highlight of my term as pipe major was having the opportunity to lead the band while on tour of Scotland in August 2000. In Scotland the band placed fifth at the World Pipe Band Championships and received the award for Marching and Discipline. Currently I am working on the publicity committee for the band and I volunteer to teach whenever I can attend practises."
The Lord Selkirk Boy Scout Pipe Band is a grade four pipe band that has
been under the excellent direction of Pipe Major Robert Fraser since its
formation in 1957. It is an all boys band that competes regularly throughout
the year as well as playing at many functions and in parades. For more

"I am now a member of The St. Andrew's Society Pipe Band. We are a strong
grade three pipe band also under the direction of Pipe Major Robert Fraser
and Pipe Major Robert Stankey. The band competes regularly throughout the
year and does many performances as well. It is a strong organization that
does an excellent job of promoting the piping and drumming culture within
Manitoba. This year St. Andrew's is planning to attend their usual competitions
as well as the North American Championships and Montreal."
